About us
Katika Child Africa is a charity nonprofit, Child, Youth and Women -centered serving organization based in Uganda seeking to promote and empower wellbeing of young people with specific emphasis on Education &Literacy empowerment, Child protection, Health, Enhancement of gender equality and girl child support, Promotion of youth livelihood, developing leadership and talents among young people.
Katika Child Africa, do re-integrate orphans and school dropouts back to school by sponsoring them and providing education needs and requirements that have always been hindering majority of them from being at school and attaining education.
COVID-19 Pandemic
Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2). It was first identified in December 2019 in Wuhan, China, and has resulted in an ongoing pandemic. Common symptoms include fever, cough, fatigue, shortness of breath, and loss of smell and taste. While the majority of cases result in mild symptoms, some progress to acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) possibly precipitated by cytokine storm, multi-organ failure, septic shock, and blood clots.The time from exposure to onset of symptoms is typically around five days, but may range from two to fourteen days. Where we work and our Partners
Our organization is currently operating in Kampala and Mubende with plans and hopes of expanding our work to the neighboring countries across Africa. We are working, limited by resources but hoping to make our communities a better place for the little and vulnerable children.Our main areas of operation are Lungujja, Busega,Natete, Masanafu,Lugala and Lubya.
